5 Teacher Appreciation Gift Ideas

Apples for teacher

Let’s face it, even though I know the end of the school year is coming, I am always the parent struggling to think of last minute teacher appreciation gift ideas. I think about it, even a month or more before, but I still find myself down to the wire trying to decide what to buy and how much to spend. I’m guessing you are in the same boat if you are reading this blog right now? So I’ll throw you a lifeline and walk you through my last minute, budget friendly, teacher appreciation gift ideas…

Chocolate Teacher Gift Ideas

Triple chocolate covered strawberriesChocolate, who doesn’t love chocolate? Combine chocolate with just about anything and voilà, you have the perfect gift! If you think the teacher might be chocolate obsessed, Triple Chocolate Dipped Oreo® Cookies will be right up their alley! Know that the teacher has jumped on the sea salt caramel trend? These Sea Salt Caramel & Milk Chocolate Covered Strawberries are both delicious and, somewhat, nutritious! Pressed for time? You can never go wrong with a BIG bag of M&M’S® or REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup Miniatures!

Gift Cards For Teachers?

I always feel a bit lame when I gift them but with falling teacher salaries making headlines these days, gift cards for teacher gifts are probably very appreciated by the receiver. One thing to consider is the teacher themselves. Are they health conscious? Perhaps a gift card to a local health food store would be appropriate. Are they pressed for time? An Amazon or Target gift card works well because they can order almost anything they need from these retail giants. Big box store gift cards can even be purchased at your local grocery store. Do they always seem to have a coffee cup on their desk? With the raising price of coffee, your child’s teacher would probably appreciate a Dunkin’, Starbucks, or other local coffeehouse gift card.

Cookie Cake Teacher Gift Ideas

Thank You Cookie CakeDo you need to buy multiple gifts for your children’s teachers but your wallet is empty from all the gifts you have to buy? Consider gifting a cookie cake or two. What better way to say “thank you” to the teachers and staff then with a gift that can be shared by all of them! Even better? Cookie cakes can be delivered right to your children’s school so they won’t get lost or destroyed during the bus ride or walk to school. Bonus points for the peace of mind you’ll have knowing that the gift was actually delivered (yeah, my kid looses everything too!).

Gift Baskets & Crates Teacher Gifts

Baked Goods Sampler Gift BasketEveryone loves to receive gift baskets because they usually contain multiple mini gifts and treats. Most gift baskets are themed gifts so it’s easy to find or make one that matches the teacher’s interests. Gourmet gift baskets are usually the best choice because most people enjoy trying new foods. A few of my favorite gift baskets are mixed nuts and trail mixbaked goods or coffee & chocolate. Notice a common theme here? I’m definitely a chocolate and coffee addict, lol!

Alcohol Themed Teacher Appreciation Gifts

Classic White Wine Gift BasketThese teachers have been dealing with your children the entire school year. If you’ve been tearing your hair out at the thought of them being home all summer, imagine being responsible for 20 or more kids every day of the school year? See my point? Now you can understand why a wine, beer or spiked seltzer gift bucket may be the best gift option of them all! If your child was especially a challenge for the school staff this year, you may even consider a classic Champagne gift basket. Because, after all, shouldn’t teacher appreciation gift ideas represent a reason to celebrate? Yes; yes they should!
