After all the preparation that goes into Christmas, we often overlook decorating for New Year’s Eve! Elevate your NYE celebrations with these simple decorations that require minimal time and effort yet can create a significant impact on your party atmosphere.
Glitter Decorated Champagne Bottles
- Champagne Bottle
- Loose Glitter
- Rubber Gloves
- Spray Adhesive
Start by wiping your champagne bottle clean and patting it dry to make for a smooth surface for the glitter to adhere to. Starting at the bottom, spray the adhesive evenly around the full circumference of the bottle and then immediately sprinkle with glitter. Repeat this process until the bottle is covered in the desired amount of glitter from bottom to top. Let the bottle dry for a few hours before touching it.
Thumbtack Embellished Votive Candles
- Votive Candles (Be sure they don’t have any coating or are in any container)
- Gold Thumbtacks
For this easy New Year’s Eve decoration, simply push your gold thumbtacks into the votive candle in concentric circles until the candle is decorated to your liking. You can do one row, a pattern, or fill the entire candle with thumbtacks, whatever you prefer.
Tinsel New Year Sign
- Cardboard Numbers – any height you want
- Glue Gun
- Tinsel
First, cut out the numbers or letters you’ll want to showcase covered in tinsel. Once you have the cardboard cutouts, simply begin to wrap them in tinsel and glue down the tinsel as you go. It’s best to distribute glue over a portion of the cardboard and then wrap the tinsel around immediately so it will stick to the cardboard. Once complete, and all the cardboard is covered in tinsel, hang the message on the wall or prop it up on a shelf for all to see at your NYE party.
