Summertime and the sorbet is easy. Seriously easy. Instead of taking the traditional route to a frozen berry treat, we went with this intriguing combination of tangy orange and savory thyme.
3 cups freshly squeezed orange juice
½ cups honey
1 tbsp fresh thyme, finely chopped
In a bowl, whisk honey into the orange juice. Once they’re combined, stir in the thyme. It’ll likely settle stubbornly on the top, but don’t worry about it. Pour the mixture into a metal pan and freeze until solid, about 3 – 3 ½ hours.
Once solid, cut the sorbet into pieces and transfer them in batches to a food processor. Process until smooth. Keep in freezer and let it sit out 5 – 10 minutes before serving.
