reunion

“I hated everyone then and there’s no reason to think I’d like anyone now.” That was the email refusal my friends Karyn, Ronnie and I got from Steven B., a high school classmate of ours to our invitation to a class reunion of more years than I want to document. We received one or two others along that pleasant line, but by and large the reception to what would be only our second reunion in multiple decades was, “WOW!”

GGB Attends the Fancy Food Show and the International Gift Fair

We have certainly been busy this summer, attending Food and Gift Shows!  Each time I would pick up Jill and Tammy (before sunrise!) for our NY Trips, it would be like “Trains, Planes and Automobiles”; even though we never even got on a plane.  I am just thankful that Tammy drove, so Jill and I could review notes.  What is the most important thing to remember when packing for a Food or Gift Show?  Only bring what you can carry!

Your Lunch Looks So Good. Can I Have Some?

If thou shalt not covet thy neigbor’s lunch were a commandment, I would still be atoning for my lunchroom jealousies from 6th grade through 12th. I salivated for Rosemary Antonuzzo’s lunch every single day. Made by her Mom Millie Antonuzzo, Ro’s lunches represented to me the best possible ingredients ever to have been placed between two slices of bread (make that Italian bread) and packed into a brown paper bag.
